v0.9.0
Features
Standings Stint Lap Count (by @danmazzella)
- See how many laps each driver has completed since their last known pit stop.
- Choose whether the lap-count badge uses a border, with an
L-placeholder when the start of a stint is unknown.
Lap History Graph (by @exenza)
- Switch the Lap Timer's history between the existing list and a new line graph.
- Compare recent laps against session-best and average reference lines, with colour-coded markers for best, dirty, and slower laps.
Fuel Calculator Enhancements (by @tariknz)
- Clearer strategy view: See fuel use per lap, projected laps, fuel to add, pit-window status, and recommended fuel in a more compact layout.
- Capacity warnings: Refuel values are shown in green when they fit in the tank and red when they exceed its capacity.
- Consistent ordering: Consumption rows now retain the configured order when rows are enabled or disabled.
- Fuel at end: Add a dedicated readout showing the estimated fuel balance at race finish.
Signed Windows Releases (by @tariknz)
The Windows installer and packaged irDashies application are now signed with a publicly trusted certificate.
- Windows can identify irDashies as coming from a verified publisher instead of showing it as an unknown publisher.
- Both the installer and the application inside it carry a digital signature, helping Windows verify that the files have not been altered after release.
- Signing is applied automatically to future Windows releases.
Thank you to SignPath for providing free code signing through its open-source sponsorship program, and to the SignPath Foundation for issuing the certificate that makes signed irDashies releases possible.

- Estimated race laps: Whole-number lap estimates no longer include an unnecessary trailing
.0(by @tariknz). - Tachometer blinking: Shift-light blinking now remains steady as RPM changes and restarts in the correct colour state (by @tariknz).
- Battle overlay styling: The current driver's name and position now use consistent, higher-contrast colours (by @tariknz).
- Fuel row ordering: Newly enabled consumption rows now stay in their configured order (by @tariknz).
- Driver names: Names beginning with YAML indicator characters are now handled correctly instead of disrupting session data (by @tariknz).
- Push-to-Pass counts: Opponent P2P counts now display correctly across the IR18, IL-15, and Super Formula cars (by @tariknz).
- Session data parsing: Team names and other values beginning with a hyphen now load correctly (by @tariknz).
- Windows signing: The application inside the Windows installer is now signed as well as the installer itself (by @tariknz).

Features
Battle Widget (by @23Kev)
A brand new Battle widget that gives you a compact, focused view of the fight happening right around you on track.
- Shows the car immediately ahead and behind you in class position, plus your own row, in a tidy 3-row overlay
- Live gap timing that updates every frame, so overtakes and gap changes show up instantly
- Displays your gap, your gap on the previous lap, and the change between them (Δ), with green/red trend arrows showing whether you're closing in or falling behind
- Optional speed column (mph or km/h) and a stint length column (laps since your last pit stop)
- Shows your last lap time, colored purple for session-fastest and green for your personal best
- Fully configurable — toggle and reorder columns, control when it's shown, and adjust background opacity from the settings menu
Layout Profile Cycling & Keybind Improvements (by @pohy)

Controller Combo Keybindings (by @pohy)
- Controller buttons and D-pad/hat directions can now be bound together as a combo (e.g. hold one button plus a D-pad direction) instead of only single inputs
- Combos trigger based on the exact set of controls held, making multi-button shortcuts far more reliable
Updated Car Data (by @tariknz)
- Added correct RPM values for the BMW M2 G87, Euro NASCAR, Formula Vee, and several other cars, improving accuracy of RPM-based displays like shift lights

Features
Push to Pass Indication (by @creagel)
Adds a Push-to-Pass (P2P) indicator so you can see who's using their boost at a glance.
- New Push-to-Pass column in the Standings and Relative widgets, showing each car's P2P state and remaining time
- Enable/disable and reorder the column from the widget settings
Controller Button Keybinds (by @pohy)
Any keybinding can now be triggered by a game controller button as well as a keyboard shortcut.
- When recording a binding, press either a key or a controller button — whichever you press first is used
- Controller input keeps working even while iRacing has focus, so your shortcuts fire mid-race
- Supports both regular buttons and d-pad (hat) directions
Per-Widget Show/Hide Hotkeys (by @tariknz)
You can now bind a hotkey to show or hide each individual widget, on top of the existing global hide.
- Settings → Key Bindings has a new Widget Visibility section listing every widget on your dashboard
- Each widget gets its own bindable toggle (keyboard or controller), unbound by default
- Hidden widgets reset to visible on restart, matching how the global hide works
Radio Indicator Improvements (by @tariknz)
The speaker/radio icon in Standings and Relative is now reliable and configurable, so you don't miss who's talking.
- New "Radio Icon Duration" slider (0–10s, default 3s) keeps the icon lit for a moment after a driver stops transmitting — set it to 0 for the original transmit-only behaviour
- The icon now stays solidly lit through rapid radio on/off toggling instead of flickering, and clears cleanly once the driver truly stops
Race Distance by Laps and Time + Multiclass Sorting (by @L061N)
- Race distance now accounts for sessions limited by both lap count and time (e.g. a 35-lap race capped at 15 minutes), giving more accurate lap counts and time estimates
- Multiclass standings ordering improved — classes are sorted by the pace of their top cars, better handling cases where a nominally "lower" class is actually faster
- Fuel estimates now use these consolidated race totals for more consistent results
Simple Display Mode for Blind Spot Monitor (by @iainbrux)
Adds a compact Simple mode to the Blind Spot Monitor as an alternative to the full-height bars.
- Renders small coloured squares on the left/right edges with an optional car-count number
- Configurable square size and vertical position (top / centre / bottom)
- Optional colour-by-car-count (e.g. 1 car amber, 2+ cars red, both configurable), or a single fixed colour
- Indicators hide automatically when no cars are alongside
Bug Fixes
- Start minimized — with "Start minimized" enabled, the settings window now stays hidden in the system tray on launch instead of opening anyway (by @tariknz)
- Track wetness overflow — the track wetness state text (e.g. "Very Lightly Wet") no longer overflows the widget box at narrow widths; it now truncates cleanly to fit (by @tariknz)
- Windows native build (development) — fixed the app failing to build from source on Windows machines with Visual Studio 2026 installed (by @tariknz)
- CI build pipeline (development) — pinned the build to a working Windows toolchain so release builds compile reliably (by @tariknz)

Edit Mode Snapping & Distance Labels (by @eoinmurphy)
Positioning your overlays just got much more precise.
- Drag and resize widgets with snapping — edges snap to the screen and to nearby widgets so everything lines up cleanly.
- Pixel distance labels show exactly how far a selected widget sits from the edges of your display.
- Hold Shift while dragging or resizing to temporarily turn snapping off for free movement.
- New Edit Mode settings let you toggle the distance labels and grid snapping on or off.
- Fixed a multi-monitor issue where widgets placed on a secondary display could appear duplicated on the primary screen.

Tachometer Temps & New Input Trace Styles (by @Liuphrest)
- Tachometer can now show oil and water temperatures, with options to show or hide each, place them top or bottom, swap sides, and fine-tune their position. Temperatures turn red on an overheat warning — handy for NASCAR and endurance racing.
- Input gear/speed display has an optional "Swap Speed & Unit" toggle that makes the speed the prominent value (similar to RaceLab's style).
- Input steering adds a new "ring" style with gear and speed shown inside the ring, scaling to fit any widget shape.

Configurable Delta Decimal Places (by @toba-k)
- You can now choose how many decimal places to show for delta times in the Standings and Relative widgets — anywhere from 1 (default) to 3.
New Cars & Tracks (by @tariknz)
- Added new tracks: WeatherTech Raceway at Laguna Seca, Charlotte Motor Speedway (Dirt Road), and Qualcomm Circuit (San Diego / Naval Base Coronado).
- Added 4 cars with correct manufacturer logos, including the BMW M2 Racing (G87) and both Formula Vee variants. The RPM values are still pending on Lovely Car Data.
Bug Fixes
- Faster Cars widget empty after adjusting settings — adjusting the Distance Threshold slider no longer leaves the "Faster Cars From Behind" widget permanently blank; previously broken configs now work without a reset (by @tariknz).
- Lap timer transitions — the lap timer now triggers reliably on the latest iRacing version and correctly resets the display after an invalid lap (by @spikethedog78).

Features
Heart Rate Widget — HypeRate (by @ziadkadry99)
A new Heart Rate overlay shows your live heart rate from HypeRate — no API key or account needed.
- Just enter your HypeRate session id (the code from your share link) and you're up and running
- Optionally paste any HypeRate widget/theme link, or just its name, to choose how the heart rate is displayed
- Transparent background with no scrollbars, so it sits cleanly over your other overlays and works as an OBS browser source
- Auto-fits and scales the graphic to the widget size when you resize
- Stays visible even when iRacing isn't running
Corner Name Overlay (by @shipitsteven)
A new Corner Name overlay tells you exactly where you are on track as you drive.

Performance Optimizations
Major memory & CPU overhaul (by @23Kev)
A substantial set of fixes targeting memory growth and CPU cost that previously built up over long sessions, especially with full grids. This is the headline change of the release for anyone running long stints, endurance races, or full 60+ car fields.
- Memory growth during long sessions cut by ~95% — in extended practice, the standings/relative renderer went from accumulating +13 MB/min to +0.7 MB/min. During a 20-minute race phase, app-wide memory growth dropped from +5.7 MB/min to under +5 MB/min (within target). In practice this means you can leave the app running for an entire endurance race without the memory footprint creeping up
- Standings calculations no longer scale quadratically with field size — the per-frame lookup was rewritten from O(N²) to O(N) using map-based grouping, giving a meaningful CPU saving on every render at full grids
- Disconnected drivers are properly released from memory — when a driver leaves the session, their cached refs and live position state are cleaned up instead of accumulating for the rest of the session
- Reference lap saves no longer cause frame stalls — saves are now coalesced (1 per event instead of 3 per renderer) and written asynchronously with a 250ms debounce, removing short hitches during lap completion and pit events
- Hardened native iRacing SDK message handling to avoid crashes during telemetry/session edge cases
- Spurious lap-time resets fixed —
LapTimesno longer resets state on unrelated events - Allocation storm in
PitLapStorefixed — eliminated a burst of per-frame allocations that was contributing to the memory slope above
Reference lap engine rewrite (by @BatMichoo)
- ReferenceLapStore now does a single bulk update per tick covering all cars on track, instead of one update per driver — ~22% CPU win at 64-car grids
- The entire reference-lap calculation engine no longer triggers React re-renders (down from 25/sec to 0 during active telemetry streaming)
- A
Float32Arraybuffer pool reuses lap data arrays, eliminating ~1.5 MB of transient allocations every 2 minutes in a 60-car race and stabilizing memory usage over long sessions
Sector Delta Improvements (by @BatMichoo)
The Sector Delta widget is smarter about which lap it compares you against, and recovers gracefully from old saved data.
- Automatically picks the best available reference lap (Session Best → Class Best → Ghost) — no manual selection needed
- Outdated reference lap files saved from older versions are now handled safely instead of breaking the widget
Standings Widget Enhancements (by @creagel)
The driver standings rows now show extra context during a race, while rendering more efficiently than before.
- Pit stop duration and pit exit info are displayed inside the driver row
- Smoother updates for the flag, pit box, tow, tires, and car manufacturer icons
- Standings and Relative rows re-render less often when flags, tires, pit box, tow icons, and car manufacturer icons haven't actually changed
Bug Fixes
- Nashville Superspeedway — drivers now render correctly on the track map; previously track did not render at all (by @tariknz)
- Session-wide blank-out from setup names — when an iRacing setup folder had a stray newline in its name, the entire session (drivers, standings, relative, fuel) would silently stop updating; the parser now tolerates this (by @tariknz)
- Standings crash on all-digit driver handles — the standings widget no longer crashes when a driver's iRacing name is all digits (by @tariknz)
- Lost global shortcuts — if a saved shortcut used an unsupported key (e.g. the Pause/Break key), every shortcut would silently fail to register on startup; bad accelerators are now skipped instead of taking down the whole list, and the recorder rejects them upfront (by @tariknz)
- Outdated reference lap files — old reference lap files saved in a previous format are now handled cleanly instead of breaking sector delta (by @BatMichoo)
- PostHog event flood — repeating warnings/errors are now de-duplicated for an hour so a single recurring issue can't flood the analytics backend (development/observability fix, by @tariknz)
Changelog

581253079-aa1829a5-addf-450a-a2c2-679ddc76cda8.mov
Enhanced Incident Display (by @LanceVShoot)
The incident counter in the Session Bar now shows the full penalty structure rather than just current / DQ-limit, so you can see exactly when the next penalty is coming.
- Displays
current / next-threshold / limit xbased on the session's incident rules - Dynamically calculates the next penalty using the initial and recurring penalty intervals
- Shows
∞for sessions with unlimited incidents - Tabular number alignment so the counter doesn't jump around as digits change
Updated Car Data (by @23Kev)
Refreshed car bundle from the lovely-car-data project, adding LED RPM configurations for new vehicles.
- Audi RS3 LMS Gen2 TCR
- NASCAR Cup Series NextGen (Camaro, Mustang, Camry) and Gen4 variants
- Updated LED RPM indicators for the BMW M8 GTE
Configurable Chromium Flags (by @tariknz)
A new Chromium tab under Advanced Settings lets you tweak startup flags — useful for fixing transparent-overlay black flicker (particularly on RTX 50-series GPUs) without having to fully disable hardware acceleration.
- Recommended presets — toggles for disabling native window occlusion, choosing an ANGLE backend (gl / d3d11 / d3d9 / vulkan / metal), and disabling Direct Composition
- Feature lists — freeform
--disable-featuresand--enable-featuresfields - Custom switches — one switch per line, with
#comments supported - Reset to defaults button if a change causes problems
- Settings are machine-specific and persisted separately from the dashboard config, so they won't follow you across dashboard imports/exports
Performance Optimizations
Sector Delta Performance (by @tariknz)
- Smoother rendering — the Sector Delta strip no longer re-renders the entire widget at 60Hz; only the live delta number and progress bar tick each frame, while the rest of the widget updates only when sector data actually changes (~3 times per lap)
- Carousel highlight fix — in scrolling mode, only the true current sector now shows the live progress overlay and previous-lap time, instead of every buffer copy showing duplicate highlights
Bug Fixes
- Gap calculation on long/short tracks — relative gap accuracy is now consistent across all track lengths, fixing inaccuracies on long circuits like the Nordschleife and short sub-15s lap tracks (by @BatMichoo)
- Sector Delta squished on new session — the strip rendered with all sector cards collapsed and repeating after joining a session or restarting the app, requiring a settings toggle to fix; now sizes correctly on first render (by @tariknz)
- Standings & Relative display order — newly-added display columns no longer require a "Reset to Default Order" click to surface, and stale entries are cleaned out of the saved order automatically (by @tariknz)
- Local time accuracy — the Session Bar's local time clock now flips at the same instant as your system clock, instead of being up to ~60 seconds behind depending on when the overlay opened (by @tariknz)
- Reverted header/footer/info bar field options — the additional fields (driver badge with iRating change, SOF, class drivers, humidity) shipped in v0.3.1 have been reverted due to performance issues; they will return in a future release (by @tariknz)
- Setup comparison in settings window — the setup comparison tool was unavailable in the settings window because session updates weren't being delivered; it now works as expected (by @naizens)
- Session bar opacity — the foreground opacity slider now correctly applies to the Information Bar, Relative and Standings session bars, with a default of 70% (by @spikethedog78)

Bug Fixes
- Relative widget lap deltas — the lap time deltas column in the Relative widget was showing the oldest laps from the buffer, so it appeared frozen for the first ~10 laps and always lagged behind. It now mirrors the Standings widget and shows the most-recent laps as expected (by @23Kev)
