- Click the latest version link under the Assets section.
- Save the .zip folder to your desktop.
- Right-click the folder and select Extract All.
- Open the folder and double-click the .exe file to launch the application.
This software runs on most modern desktop environments. Ensure your system meets these standards for the best experience:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11.
- Processor: Dual-core CPU at 2.0 GHz or faster.
- Memory: 4 GB of RAM.
- Graphics: Hardware support for OpenGL 2.1.
- Storage: 200 MB of free space for the application and game files.
Load your game files to begin playing.
- Locate your game files, which usually have the extension .gba, .nds, or .3ds.
- Open the emulator.
- Click File in the top menu.
- Select Load ROM.
- Choose your file from the file explorer window.
The game starts immediately. You can view your current game status in the bottom status bar.
The default controls map to common keyboard keys. You can change these settings to suit your preferences.
- A: Z key
- B: X key
- L: A key
- R: S key
- Start: Enter key
- Select: Backspace key

To update your key bindings, go to Tools, select Settings, and click the Input tab. Click the box next to a control and press the key on your keyboard that you want to use.
You can save your game at any time using the software.
- In-game saves: Use the save menu within the game itself to store data in the virtual game cartridge.
- Save States: Click File and choose Save State. This captures the exact moment in the game. You can load this state later to return to that identical moment. This is useful for difficult boss battles.
If the game runs slowly or the audio sounds choppy, adjust the performance settings.
- Navigate to Settings and select Audio/Video.
- Lower the frame skip setting if the game feels sluggish.
- Ensure the frame rate limit setting stays at 100 percent.
- Disable V-Sync if you notice input lag.
Use this list to fix frequent problems during setup or play.
- Missing BIOS: Some games require a BIOS file to start. Place the BIOS file in the same folder as the emulator if prompted.
- Real-Time Clock Errors: If the game displays an error regarding the internal clock, go to Settings, select Emulation, and enable the Real-Time Clock option.
- Slowdown: Close background applications like web browsers or video players to free up system resources while you play.
- Controller Issues: If you use a USB controller, ensure you map the buttons in the Input settings menu before starting your game.
This emulator supports cheat codes for games like Pokemon FireRed or Emerald.
- Click Tools and select Cheats.
- Select Add New.
- Enter the description and the Action Replay or GameShark code.
- Click Add to activate the cheat.
Always use caution when applying cheats. Some codes may corrupt save files or crash the game. Keep backups of your save states before you enable complex cheats.
Keep your folders organized to find your games easily. Create a folder named Emulation on your computer and keep your emulator and game files in subfolders. This prevents permission issues when the software attempts to write your save files.
Ensure your game files remain uncompressed in their original formats for the best compatibility. Most games work best when stored as individual files rather than inside compressed archive folders.
