Compatibility Problem with Reolink NVR

Hi,

I'm trying to use the NanoKVM-Pro with a Reolink RLN36 NVR,

And in general it works, immediately after rebooting the KVM. But after some minutes the screen turns black and i get the message "HDMI no signal"
This is using firmware 1.2.14 (latest)

Rebooting the NVR changes nothing, rebooting the kvm restores control.

The nvr is set to 1920*1080

Could you clarify what your current setup topology looks like?

• Is the NanoKVM-Pro connected only to the Reolink RLN36 NVR?
• Or do you also have a loop-through / HDMI output connected to a local monitor at the same time?

Also, when you connect the NanoKVM-Pro to a normal PC, does the video output remain stable over time, or does the same “HDMI no signal” issue eventually appear?

As a first step, could you try going to:
Settings → Device → Advanced Settings → Low Power Mode → Disable
Then test again to see if the issue still occurs.

If the problem persists, please access the NanoKVM web terminal and run the following commands after the signal is lost:

cat /proc/lt6911_info/status
cat /proc/lt6911_info/width
cat /proc/lt6911_info/height
cat /proc/lt6911_info/fps

This will help us determine whether the HDMI receiver chip is still locking the signal.

The NanoKVM-Pro is connected to the NVR via USB and HDMI, and to a POE switch for power and LAN, no other connections.

It works fine when connecting to a normal (Dell) PC, never had an issue there.

I already had Low Power Mode disabled, as i thought it might help, but infortunately it didn't.

It looks like the HDMI link status is still reported as stable, so at least from the receiver side the signal does not appear to fully drop.

Go to Settings → Device → HDMI and toggle the HDMI switch, and check whether the video signal can be restored temporarily.

Also, could you help check the log files under:

cat /proc/ax_proc/vin/statistics

# confirm whether OutSeqNum is continuously changing or stuck.

We can now clearly see that after the issue occurs, pipeline resolution changes from the expected 1920x1080 to 1920x1009

This matches the repeated VENC errors, Invalid height(1009), which is inconsistent with the pic height(1080)

We would like to test whether the issue can be reproduced manually by restarting only the VIN pipeline. Could you please try the following in the NanoKVM web terminal:

systemctl stop kvmcomm.service

/kvmcomm/vin/kvm_vin -d

Please share the output logs from that command, we hope the logs can help reveal how the resolution becomes corrupted internally.

Does your Dell PC also show this issue at 1080p. If not, then the Reolink NVR's 1080p output may be unstable with the KVM receiver .
