…ormat (#937) The release workflow failed on the v0.0.0-beta.11 tag push at the 'Install cosign' step with curl exit code 22. Root cause: cosign 3.x (starting v3.0.5) stopped publishing the legacy detached `.sig` files alongside its binaries and instead ships `*.sigstore.json` bundles. sigstore/cosign-installer@v3 still tries to fetch the `.sig` and fails with HTTP 404. v4 of the installer (released 2026-03-09) was updated to consume the new bundle format and pulls cosign 3.0.6 correctly. Pinning the installer to @v4 — keeping the cosign-release pin at 'v3.0.6' so our verification contract (the cosign --bundle output shape) is unchanged. Verified by inspecting the v4.1.2 changelog (PR sigstore/cosign-installer#232 'Bump cosign to 3.0.6') and by confirming v3.0.6's release assets ship .sigstore.json instead of .sig.
