Hi my friend, I hope you're doing well. I'm here because I have been thinking of a few suggestions that may make VacuumTube feel more polished and user-friendly. I know my previous requests required mucking around on a lower level but these are actually much simpler and connected to the work you've already accomplished.
- Would you please add in shortcuts to quickly toggle SponsorBlock and DeArrow and show us a "toast" notification (like when SponsorBlock skips ahead) when they are enabled/disabled?
- to add to this, can you please give us a toast notification when subs are turned on/off? Perhaps include the language that's active. ie: "Eng. Subtitles Enabled" or something similar.
- lastly, since Ctrl+Shift+O opens VacuumTube options, can you make it more of a toggle. So you please Ctrl+Shift+O to open the settings as well as closing them.
My reason for requesting this is because, as I've said before, I use a remote to control my HTPC. So I have my fancy universal remote and an "options" button is mapped to open the VacuumTube settings and I have to press the return button which is mapped to the escape key but sometimes it exits the video altogether. I also have the backspace key mapped to the "recall" button, which works, but my instinct to close VacuumTube settings is to push the "Options" button, the same one opens the settings, so I'm here requesting this setting to be implemented.
