Mac Terminal cursor disappears when brakeman invoked with `--quiet`

Issue

Similar to #2001, running bundle exec brakeman --quiet in macOS Terminal.app makes the cursor invisible. This does not happen when running plain bundle exec brakeman. Using zsh.

I can't reproduce this behavior at all. I have the same Ruby version, Brakeman version, Terminal.app.

Also, it doesn't make sense because quiet mode would not use the logger that sends any console-related output.

Are you sure there's no other configuration? Are there any warnings?

Only thing I can think of is maybe the pager is causing problems. Can you test with a pre-8.0 version of Brakeman?

I downgraded to 7.1.2, and it does not happen with that version. I also just now tested in bash, and it still happens then. To note: the cursor disappears right after brakeman has started, not when the pager appears.

There is a config/brakeman.yml with the following config:

:min_confidence: 1

When I remove this file the cursor does not disappear?!?! So that seems to be somehow connected to the issue.

That's very helpful and now it makes sense.

Unfortunately there's some complexity because Brakeman needs to output some logs before/during reading the config file... but the config file can also impact how logs are output!

I will take a look!
