Welna

Welna

Know your numbers. Own your health story.

Private patient intelligence for iPhone — your real health numbers, read in plain language, with identifiers redacted on your device before anything leaves it.

What Welna is

Welna turns the health data already on your iPhone into something you can actually read. It connects to Apple Health — read-only, with your permission — looks at the handful of signals that carry real longevity evidence (cardio fitness, sleep, resting heart rate, daily movement, and a few more), and writes them back to you in plain language: a calm daily read, and the questions worth bringing to a clinician.

Two things make it different from the usual health app:

  • Private by architecture, not by promise. Names, dates, and identifiers are stripped on your device by an on-device model before any text reaches the cloud. Only normalized summaries — never raw records — ever leave the phone, and only after you say yes. Zero identifiers sent.
  • It prepares conversations, not conclusions. Welna never diagnoses. Every read is built from your own numbers and ends the same way: a question for your clinician, not an answer. Not medical advice.

Each workflow is a guided agent you can watch work — it pulls your numbers on demand, redacts before the cloud, and shows every step as it happens. Nothing is hidden, and nothing leaves un-redacted.

Why this repo exists

This is the public home of Welna. It serves the website at welna.ai — and, more importantly, it's the front door for everyone who wants a say in where Welna goes next.

The app itself is built privately, but its direction shouldn't be. Most wellness apps are designed in a room and handed to you finished. We'd like to build this one the other way around: in the open, with the people who'll actually use it. This repo — and its Discussions — is where that happens.

Where it's headed

Welna ships today with real Apple Health insights, a daily read, four guided workflows (Visit Prep, Explain Results, Medication Review, Document Summary), and on-device redaction behind a consent gate. There's a lot more already taking shape. The roadmap is a direction, not a set of promises:

  • Make the engine real — surface the personal-baseline and deviation work that already runs under the hood, so every number is read against your band, not a population average.
  • Close the loop — a full cadence of reads (morning, midday, evening, weekly) and notifications that actually take you somewhere.
  • Your health story — import your lab PDFs, build a longitudinal record, and let Welna find patterns in your own numbers over time.
  • Reach & trust — more languages, deeper accessibility, EU and UK launch.
  • Durability & depth — optional sync, deeper signals, and clinician-ready exports.

Help design it — join the conversation

Discussions are open. If you've ever wished a health app explained why a number matters instead of just flashing it red, this is your chance to help shape one.

Come tell us:

  • Which signals you actually care about — and which ones you'd happily never see again.
  • What a good daily read sounds like to you. What's genuinely helpful, and what's just noise?
  • Where the privacy line should be drawn.
  • What would make Welna truly useful for your next appointment.

No account to create, no jargon, no wrong answers — just the first chance to help design a wellness app that reads your numbers, with you.
