Wondering if you can provide a step by step build instructions for non Developers. Preferably Linux.

The easiest way is to create a CMakeUserPresets.json file in the root directory and add a configuration preset that inherits from unixlike-gcc-release. If you are new to CMake presets, it is recommended to read up on that topic, since the build system relies on it.
