Thank you for your interest in helping us test HydePHP v2.0! We've created a series of issues to help you get started.

General Testing Instructions

Before You Start

  1. Set up clean environment: Use fresh PHP installation, clear composer cache
  2. Document your system: PHP version, OS, Node.js version
  3. Take baseline measurements: If doing performance testing
  4. Read the migration guide: Understand what's changed in v2.0

During Testing

  1. Be thorough: Test edge cases, not just happy paths
  2. Document everything: Screenshots, error messages, steps taken
  3. Test on multiple environments: Different OS, PHP versions if possible
  4. Focus on your assigned area: But report any other issues you find

Reporting Issues

What Makes a Good Test Report

  • Specific steps to reproduce issues
  • Clear screenshots or error messages
  • System environment details
  • Suggestions for fixes or improvements
  • Positive feedback on what works well

Communication

  • Ask questions if testing instructions are unclear
  • Share progress updates in your assigned issue
  • Help other testers if you've solved similar problems
  • Provide feedback on the testing process itself
