This scenario allows you to implement separate services:

  • UserService: Handles user-related functionalities like registration, login, and potentially profile management. It interacts with the UserRepository to access and manipulate user data.
  • ProductService: Handles product-related functionalities like adding new products, retrieving product information, and updating product details. It interacts with the ProductRepository to access and manipulate product data.

The UserRepository and ProductRepository would be separate interfaces defining methods for CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations on their respective data entities (User and Product). Concrete implementations of these repositories would handle the actual data access logic (e.g., interacting with a database).

By separating concerns with services and repositories, you gain advantages like:

  • Clear separation: Business logic resides in services, and data access logic resides in repositories.
  • Improved testability: You can easily mock repositories for unit testing services without involving the actual data layer.
  • Maintainability: Changes to data access mechanisms can be isolated within repository implementations.
  • Scalability: The service layer can be easily extended to handle new functionalities without affecting existing services.
