This version of VS Test upgraded .NET to net8 and net9. All projects targeting net6.0 (or other end-of-life .NET target frameworks) should pin their version of Microsoft.NET.Test.SDK to 17.13.0, or update the projects to net8 or newer. We remain backwards compatible with previous versions of Microsoft.NET.Test.SDK. This change does NOT prevent you from:

Updating to the latest VS, and running tests from net6.0 test projects.
Updating to the latest .NET SDK, and running tests from net6.0 test projects.

It also has no impact on .NET Framework projects, where we continue targeting .NET Framework 4.6.2.

…234) Microsoft.Build.Locator 1.11 (bumped in #230) enforces MSBL001 at build time: MSBuild assemblies must not flow to the output directory, since MSBuildLocator loads them from the located SDK at run time and a copied Microsoft.Build.Framework would collide. Workspaces.MSBuild 5.3 pulls that package transitively WITH runtime assets, so the crossval workflow broke on main (the workflow only runs on main pushes, which is why #230's PR CI stayed green). ) Roslyn Workspaces 5.x runs source generators inside MSBuildWorkspace (4.x did not), so after #230 the official compilation gained the [GeneratedRegex] generator's Runner/RunnerFactory nested types — types unilyze deliberately never sees (it analyzes on-disk, non-generated sources only) — and the CycCC residual-identity compare failed on main with "missing unilyze type". Skip types whose every declaring syntax reference lives in a generated tree (empty path, *.g.cs, or a /generated/ segment). Verified end-to-end locally: build → self-analysis JSON → official JSON → compare: OK (383 types, residual identity holds), confirming the Roslyn 5.3 bump changed no measured values — the failure was harness-side visibility of generator output.
