On the new version of Audacity, Why would you want the cut, copy, paste toolbar disabled by default and hidden behind, Application Menu -> View Sub Menu-> Toolbars -> cut//copy//paste toolbar. Yall literally have everything else under the sun - spectral selection enabled by default. Like what is the point in cluttering up the entirety of the top of the GUI and then omitting the like most basic thing you would want to do with an audio file. cut it, copy it, and paste your cut or the full file somewhere else. I just fail to comprehend the logic here. Unless this is not your default config and something has gone wrong here on my end but this package was just very recently installed and I've not used it yet on this machine until well right now. I just wish in general we could all take a step back when building applications and say okay what is the most general user going to experience when they open this app up for the first time. What features will they likely be looking to use and how can as designers make it easy for these features to be found and discovered and how can we make them generally have less friction for that theoretical general user. I am not your boss or your mom or anything and that rhetoric about design is not just with this in particular but a long weekend of dealing with things that do not make sense on a fundamental design principle level in relation to the software I am trying to use recently. Like is said if this is not your default and something got changed on my end without my knowledge I apologize for ranting at you. and i also apologize if I come off like a dick. I don't mean to be rude my tone over text could use some improvement. Yall have a good week and happy Monday!
