md-tabs: First tab cutoff after window resize with `md-stretch-tabs="always"`

If your md-tabs has md-stretch-tabs="always" then if load the page with a big window and resize it to a small window the first tab(possibly more) becomes hidden. Resizing the page a second time fixes this though.

Heres a few pictures to demonstrate this.

It seems to also happen if you resize the window fast even after the first resize. This might be a race condition between the tabs checking the page width and the sidenav collapsing. I'll try to make a plunkr when I have some more time to investigate this.

Edit: also just got this which appears to point towards it being a race condition even more.
