Thanks for the question @joleiy! You are correct that the carbon from flared methane is released to the atmosphere as CO2 however, because these carbons came from plants (and other biomass) that were very recently atmospheric CO2, the are not considered a GHG. From a carbon balance perspective it could be useful to have this CO2 emission tracked in an output but since we are t yet ready to track a full carbon balance in the Manure Module (or any other modules) we chose to focus only on the emissions with immediate environmental consequences.
