Suggestion: Improve Compatibility for New Ubuntu Releases #685

Description

@Newblackmask

Hello umu developers,

I'm sharing a verified working instance of umu-launcher 1.4.0 on Kubuntu 26.04, which can serve as a reference for improving compatibility with newer Ubuntu-based distributions.

My setup uses Lutris to deploy all umu components in the user's home directory, fully avoiding conflicts with the system's "Externally Managed Python Environment" policy. The entire launch process is stable, with all key paths correctly configured:

PROTONPATH: /home/maskming/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine/proton-cachyos-11.0-x86_64
RUNTIMEPATH: /home/maskming/.local/share/umu/steamrt4
WINEPREFIX: /home/maskming/Games

The full successful launch log is attached as Successful_Startup_Log.txt.

Based on this working case, I have a small suggestion:
For users on Ubuntu 24.04+ (including Kubuntu 26.04), you could officially recommend the user-space installation method in the documentation, or provide an optional pipx deployment solution. This would help new users avoid potential environment conflicts on the latest systems, making umu more compatible with modern Ubuntu releases.

Thank you for your continuous great work on umu!
