After the conversation is completed, a lot of content is output and scrolled to view. Every time you scroll up, it will automatically jump to the bottom, making it impossible to view the complete content normally. You can only scroll through crtl +d to exit, which is a poor experience.

I've root-caused this bug and found a fix.

Root cause:

1. kimi_cli/ui/shell/prompt.py spawns a background _refresh() task that
   calls app.invalidate() every 1 second when idle.
2. Each invalidate() triggers prompt_toolkit to re-render the UI and move
   the cursor back to the bottom input box.
3. Some Linux terminal emulators (GNOME Terminal, Konsole, Deepin Terminal,
   etc.) auto-scroll the view to keep the cursor visible whenever they receive a
   cursor-position escape sequence.
4. VS Code's terminal (xterm.js) handles this gracefully and does not
   auto-scroll.

So even though you're just scrolling up to read history, every second the UI
redraws and the terminal yanks you back to the bottom.

Fix:In _refresh(), skip app.invalidate()when idle. Idle tooltips and
toast expiration are not important while the user is reading history — UI
naturally refreshes as soon as they start typing or when the agent is running.

I verified the patch locally on my system. Would be happy to open a PR if the
maintainers agree with the approach.

• Windows PC (Windows Terminal), SSH into an Ubuntu 24.04 Linux server
• kimi --version: 0.31.0
• Platform: OpenCode Zen (https://opencode.ai/zen/v1)
• Model: opencode/deepseek-v4-flash-free (DeepSeek V4 Flash Free, thinking mode)

Repro steps

1. Run Kimi Code CLI over SSH, from a Windows terminal (e.g. Windows Terminal) to an Ubuntu 24.04 server.
2. Start a task and, while the model is still reasoning (before it finishes), scroll up with the mouse wheel to review earlier chat history.
3. When the task completes, the viewport instantly jumps to the very first screen (top of the terminal buffer) — the current scroll position is lost.
4. This also happens when plan mode finishes generating a plan.

Expected behavior
The viewport should keep the user's current scroll position when the task completes, or at least not be force-scrolled to the top of the buffer.

Difference from the original report: here the viewport jumps up to the top on completion (instead of repeatedly snapping back to the bottom while scrolling after completion). Both symptoms look like the completion-time re-render resets the scroll offset; the SSH/remote terminal environment may play a role. Also reproducible in plan mode.
