Blender lags (almost crashes) when adding new shapekeys

Whenever I create a new shapekey or folder, blender almost crashes for some reason

I'm using 4.2 alpha, might be due to version, but if not (I hope, because I love 4.2 alpha), I would like to know aswell.

Same with me on Blender 4.2. I have a lot of shape keys. Seems that above a certain number, the process becomes insanely slow. From less than a second suddenly to 1 minute to 5 minutes (older machine) to simply move shapekeys to a new group.
