Is there an existing issue for this?
Current Behavior
#2535
there are some GP5 percussion instruments which didn't find their way into Guitar Pro 8. When importing them to alphaTab things start to break due to missing articulation definitions.
e.g. alphaTex exports do not work and rendering is also suspiciously wrong.
Expected Behavior
alphaTab should handle the compatibility with some fallback mechanism. as alphaTab currently relies on the GP articulations it's tricky to add full support.
The missing articulations are from the Roland GS (general sound) key range primarily.
Steps To Reproduce
- Create a GP5 file with all insturments contained
- Import it to alphaTab and check for missing articulations
- Export it to alphaTex and notice "unknown" articulations which break.
