Settings file?

This seems to indicate that there are settings the user can modify. Can't seem to find any information on where to make changes?

Unfortunately not, as seen here the values are hardcoded:

I wish there was more customisation here.

Your can change the value directly in the ruby file. For me it is
/usr/share/rubygems-integration/all/gems/batalert-0.4.0/lib/batalert.rb
Remember that batalert will only give a warning message/sound when the capacity is below the threshold AND the charger is disconnected, had to struggle with this ...
