MossyFibres

Summary

This repository contains the main processing and figure-generation code for the research article:

Roš H., Xie Y., Sadeh S., Takarabe L.M., Silver R.A. High-dimensional bidirectional population coding in pontine mossy fibre inputs to the cerebellar cortex (accepted in Cell Reports)

We used an acousto-optic lens (AOL) two-photon microscope to image pontine mossy fibre axons within a 3D volume of the cerebellar cortex in behaving mice. Our aim was to examine how mossy fibre populations encode different behavioural states and sensorimotor variables, and to characterise the manifold structure and dimensionality of these representations.

The scripts here reproduce the main analyses and generate the figures in the paper. Please cite the article above if you use this code in your research.

Structure

  • ./Analysis — Analysis and plotting code that reproduces the main and supplementary figures.
  • ./Init — Path configuration and laser-timing adjustments.
  • ./preprocessing — Preprocessing code for linear ratio deviation (LDR), signal smoothing, and axon grouping. Also includes the processed index, correlation, and Granger causality (GC) model data used in the main analysis.

Additional Information

  • Publicly available datasets: available on Figshare, DOI: 10.6084/m9.figshare.28512758
  • Raw imaging data: available from the authors upon request, owing to its large size.
