Hi @gurukrpa, This community is managed by GitHub employees, but it is not a support forum. The only place to go for answers to account-specific questions like this one is opening a ticket on our Support page. This is a public forum, and the community is unable to assist with nor escalate your ticket, but we can assure you it is in the right place. It will be answered in the order it was received based on our team's resources and the amount of tickets ahead of yours. As no other Community Discussions team members will be able to provide additional help with account related questions I am going to close this discussion. We appreciate your understanding! |

Copilot in GitHub
Body
I am reporting a synchronization issue between my billing budget and Copilot access.
My Account Details:
Username: gurukrpa
Included Requests: 300/300 (Consumed)
Active Budget: $300.00
Current Billed Usage: ~$65.08
Overage Setting: "Stop usage when budget limit is reached" is UNCHECKED (No).
The Issue:
Even though I have over $200 of remaining budget and have set the budget to NOT stop usage, the IDE/Web interface is blocking my premium requests (specifically Claude Opus 4.6). My Usage Breakdown shows I have successfully used 1,560 billed requests this month, but the service has now stopped responding.
I have already tried signing out and back into VS Code. Please refresh the entitlement flag on my account so I can continue using my paid budget.
Why this is happening
Multiplier Math: High-end models like Claude Opus 4.6 sometimes hit a "rate limit" (how many messages per minute) that is separate from your "billing limit."
Entitlement Lag: Sometimes when you hit exactly 300, the system sends a "block" signal to your IDE that doesn't automatically clear even when a budget is present.
