I'm a Copilot Pro+ subscriber, and I'm trying to plan my usage on professional, production projects. However, I'm frustrated that the new session limits and weekly limits are not documented, and there's seemingly no way to query how high the limit is or how quickly I'm approaching it. This makes it impossible for me to ration my usage or to make intelligent decisions as to what to spend my allowed usage on. It would really suck if I were to hit a weekly limit when I'm right in the middle of developing a mission-critical feature. (The "auto" selection and lower-level models are insufficient for the work that I'm doing, which is why I upgraded to Pro+ in the first place, so falling back to a cheaper model is a non-starter.) |

Subject: Lack of Transparency in Copilot Pro Usage Limits and Rate Limiting
I am writing to raise a formal concern regarding the lack of transparency around usage limits and rate limiting in Copilot Pro.
When I purchased Copilot Pro, there was no clear, prominent disclosure regarding specific usage caps, rate limits, or throttling mechanisms. I was also not informed about how usage is calculated, how limits are consumed, or whether users can view their remaining quota.
However, during actual use, I encountered unexpected rate limiting, without prior notice or any visibility into the rules that triggered it. This creates significant uncertainty and directly impacts my ability to plan and rely on Copilot Pro as a productivity tool for work.
Copilot Pro is positioned and marketed as a professional, productivity-oriented service. For such a tool, predictability and transparency are essential. The inability to understand or control the usage conditions of a paid service substantially reduces the value of the subscription and affects my original purchase decision.
I believe that usage limits and throttling policies constitute material service conditions and should be clearly disclosed to users in advance. The current lack of transparency undermines users’ right to make informed decisions about paid services.
I request a clear explanation of:
If this transparency cannot be provided, I would like to discuss appropriate remediation options, including but not limited to a refund.
I look forward to a clear and timely response.
