This is bs, i have pro+, and those rate limits are crazy, like with those rate limts and agents 1x use, there is no way you use half of monthly request. THis is some bullshit, i went from pro to pro+ to escape the limits. But you cant use more than 1-3% of 1x agents as you just get a stupid rate limit or weekly limit. LIke guys, normal pro was insane and had issue with using requests there due to rate limit, but pro+ is getting worse and worse...... Fix ..... |

VS Code
Body
I'm hitting the
user_weekly_rate_limitederror in VS Code despite having a significant portion of my monthly premium requests remaining. I cannot open a new VS Code window without Copilot being blocked. My situation:
Why this is unacceptable:
This is a hidden limit on top of the advertised monthly quota. I pay for a specific number of premium requests per month — that is what was sold to me. A separate, undisclosed weekly cap that blocks access entirely (across all models, including base models) is not what I agreed to.
GitHub acknowledged in discussion #190176 that the March 2026 rate limit changes "mistakenly impacted many users with normal and expected usage patterns." That problem is clearly still ongoing.
What I'm asking for:
I'm happy to provide logs or request IDs if helpful.
