If you ran out around the 20th, your current quota is covering most of your usage already. You probably just need a buffer, not a huge increase. I’d start with something like $20–$30/month. That’s usually enough to avoid interruptions without risking overspending. After a month, just adjust: still running out → increase a bit Also worth using Claude Sonnet only for heavier tasks and switching to cheaper models for small stuff — that helps your budget last longer. |

I'm working on a large site in Laravel 12 and VS Code with Co-pilot. I ran out of Premium Requests recently. I did notice the budget system, but I found it confusing. I code a lot, sometimes all day using mainly Claude Sonnet 4.6. I don't do this every day.
What is a good dollar amount for the Premium Request budget in case I run out again and enough to keep me going until the next month? I think it was around the 20th or 21st of last month (March) that I ran out last time.
Thanks!
