## Project Overview
AED Map (Mapa AED) is a mobile application for Android and iOS that helps users locate automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) in their vicinity. The app's mission is to ensure that anyone providing first aid knows where to find the nearest defibrillator, potentially saving lives in emergency situations.
## Purpose
The primary purpose of this application is to provide quick and easy access to information about nearby defibrillators. In emergency situations where someone is experiencing cardiac arrest, rapid access to an AED can significantly increase survival chances. This app bridges the gap between emergency responders and available defibrillators by providing location data and navigation assistance.
## Key Features
- **Defibrillator Mapping**: Displays AEDs on a map with their locations
- **Detailed Information**: Shows details about each defibrillator including:
- Location description
- Access type (public, private, during work hours, etc.)
- Whether it's inside a building
- Operator information
- Contact phone number
- Opening hours
- **Color-Coded Access**: AEDs are color-coded based on their accessibility:
- Green: Publicly accessible
- Yellow: Available during work hours
- Blue: Available with owner's permission or until further notice

## Data Sources

## Data Model
The core data model is the `Defibrillator` class which contains:
- Geographic location (latitude/longitude)
- Description of the location
- OpenStreetMap node ID
- Indoor status (yes/no)
- Operator information
- Contact phone number
- Opening hours
- Access type (yes, customers, private, permissive, no, unknown)
- Image URL (if available)
- Distance from user's location
## User Flow
1. User opens the app and sees nearby defibrillators on a map
2. The app shows the closest AED by default
3. User can select any AED to view its details
4. User can navigate to the selected AED
5. Authenticated users can edit AED information or add new AEDs
