Haha, that's not crazy! 😄 It’s definitely a bit of a challenge, but technically it’s already been proven to work.

I’ve already got Soia running on Android, as shown in the screenshot. The core architecture is working! what’s left is mainly adapting the UI for Android and polishing the details.

So yeah, mobile support has actually been on the roadmap for a while, including iOS.

Since Soia is still in the early stages of development, I don’t have any plans to set up sponsorships or anything like that for now. Honestly, being able to use Soia and share feedback is already a huge support for me! If you’d like to support the project, giving it a star on github would mean a lot to me as well.

I originaly planned to finish the Android version first and use it on my TV at home. But once I started working on it, I realized there was still quite a bit of UI adaptation needed for Android. So I decided to move DLNA and Chromecast support up the priority list first.

Together with the Remote Controller, I think this will already provide a pretty nice experience for using Soia with a TV. I’m hoping to release those features sometime this week.

After that, I’ll get back to working on the Android version. Once the basic UI adaptation and CI are in place, I’d be happy to invite you to try it out early! 😄
