Hello everyone 👋
My name is Mugees Khan, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) in Cybersecurity from JECRC University, India. I am very interested in applying for Google Summer of Code 2026 with The Honeynet Project, and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to IntelOwl.
I have a strong foundation in programming and cybersecurity concepts. My primary technical skills include:
• Python
• C
• C++
• JavaScript
• Basic Web Development
• Cybersecurity fundamentals
Experience & Achievements:
• Developed 2 applications in my first year of college:
• Winner of an inter-college Hackathon
• Completed a Government-verified Cybersecurity Internship
• Completed Cybersecurity Training program
• Certified in Basic Robotics
I am particularly interested in threat intelligence, malware analysis, and automation in cybersecurity. IntelOwl attracted me because it integrates multiple threat intelligence tools into a single platform, which is very useful for security researchers and analysts.
Currently, I am exploring the IntelOwl repository, understanding the project architecture, and looking for beginner-friendly issues to start contributing.
I would appreciate guidance from mentors on:
• Issues suitable for beginners
• Areas where I can contribute effectively
• Suggested preparation for GSoC proposal
Thank you for maintaining such an amazing open-source project. I look forward to learning and contributing to the community.
