I'm curious to what the compatibility looks like for the new 26.7 version of pfSense, as the new version seems to be sporting some major changes.
- Do the maintainers of this package have any insight into this?
- Has anyone here tried/tested?
Happy for anything I can find out that is more accurate than me just googling and asking various AI's for information (which I've obviously already done, without learning much).
Apparently, pfSense seem to stick with FreeBSD 16 for the 26.7 as well, which is a good sign. Previously there was some issues when pfSense went up to 16 which required some tinkering on the pfSense-crowdsec end of things and a PR, but that does not seem to be a huge concern here.
I'd be happy to your thoughts on this and also hear about your experiences upgrading. I'll do the same if I dare moving to pfSense 26.7.
