Custom User Fields should be able to be translated

I just realized that a user is mono lingual even if the custom fields associated with the user are multilingual.

Imho users should be treated like any entry therefore they should be multilingual as well.

Usage example

I want to display Authors on each entry for a publication page. So I use the native user functionality to display the authors name and image and function. But now I realized this cant be translated which is a bit of a problem.

I have to create an Author section to achieve this and abandon the idea of using craft's native user functionality which is a shame. It is so practical.

Do you think this is the wrong use of the user functionality?
