I found myself in the situation a borked CK editor config added bad html to the richtext field.
And had to learn that content entered into craft is buried quite deeply inside the DB, there's no such thing as a quick mysql sweep.

You can either feedme export/import or build a migration / console script to clean this up, but that is serious development.

At cp/utilities/find-replace there is a basic search replace feature. But it's as barebones as it gets, more like driving blindfold.

Is a more sophisticated search replace tool, which gives a dry run first and you can confirm what you want to correct and what not, on some list?
